Şanda Kıray, who has long years’ management experience in the banking, production, construction and service sectors, founded SAS Group in 1999. Experience she acquired especially in project finance, business development and joint ventures when measured against the needs of local and foreign companies was the rationale for the foundation of the SAS Group comprising two operational companies being, SAS Financial Advisory Services and MBR Wastewater Treatment Services. Sanda has managed direct investments, start-ups with equity participations and exits in a variety of sectors including facility management and the health center industries.
Şanda started her career in 1979 at Turkish Eximbank and her last corporate post was as CEO at Çelebi Holding between 1999-2000. Previously, she worked in management positions at Modern Ofis Makinaları A.Ş. founded by DMO- DESİYAB-Olivetti and further as Assistant General Coordinator at ATA Construction. She is a graduate of Hacettepe University Faculty of Economics and TED Ankara College.
Emir Bahadirli joined SAS Group in 2011. Previously he had worked over three years at Garanti Asset Management, owned by Garanti Bank, managing TL 6 billion as an Investment Analyst at the Strategy and Research Department. He has a SPK (Capital Markets Board) Advanced Level Licence and a SPK Derivative Products Licence. During his undergraduate studies, Emir worked as an intern at the international credit rating corporation Fitch as well as with international audit, tax and financial services corporation Deloitte Touche in the Tax and Mergers department. Emir had a scholarship at Istanbul Bilgi University for Quantitative Financial Economy Masters Degree and a scholarship at Sabancı University Economics BA. He worked as a teaching assistant for Accounting classes in his last two senior years. He also serves at Young Tourism Leaders Association as Vice President responsible for Financial Businesses.
Jeff has a broad experience in the industrial, transportation, financial, and agricultural sectors and in private consulting to governments in developing countries. He has an entrepreneurial approach in new business development, mature business management and competitive interaction. Jeff has excellent communication skills with C-suite management in global organizations, senior government officials (Prime Minister level), and national media.
Jeff founded INTERRES (International Resources Associates) in 1992 in the USA and he is still the manager. The company is focused on assisting SMEs, in the US and elsewhere, to improve their businesses via international linkages, on-the-ground management support, and financial restructuring. The company has branches in Bucharest, Romania and Astana, Kazakhstan.
Jeff has also several other Long Term Consulting / Representation assignments including; Kazakhstan Country Rep of Dyned International (USA) since 2015, International Sales Agent in Central & Europe and the CIS Countries of Oliver Wyman (USA) in the field of Surface Transportation Practice since 2002, and Corporate Associates in the US and International Agent in Central & Europe and the CIS Countries of Shipxpress International (USA) since 2001.
Jeff also had managerial positions in several institutions including; Howard Energy, Ernst & Young, the World Bank, and Dow Chemical. Jeff has a Master of International Management from Thunderbird, American Graduate School of International Management 1993 and BA of Chemical Engineering with double minor in Philosophy and Theology from Manhattan College 1979.
John Duthie offers long experience especially in developing countries as regards project and structured finance as well as financial advisory. He started his international banking career with HSBC Group in the 60s and was finally general manager responsible for Turkey and the region for the Westdeutsche Landesbank. He was with Deutsche Bank between 1978 and 1991. From 1984-1991 he was General Manager Deutsche Bank Korea and held, round those dates, other DB managerial positions in Germany and London.
He has also held positions at Standard Chartered Bank and Merrill Lynch during his career where he was variously involved with securitized lending, other asset-backed products, M&A services, trade and commodity finance.
He set up a partnership consultancy in 2003 based in Istanbul and Germany and has since then been involved in various businesses and projects in Turkey, the EU, Central Asia, Switzerland, the US and the Far East.
Darrell Robertson is a seasoned business executive with twenty years experience in organizational and business development and implementing growth strategies and entrepreneurial initiatives. Early experiences focused on staffing and strategic business development consulting in automation technologies and engineering services in the paper industry. Recently Darrell is involved in development of major projects in ship building, automotive, energy and housing. Business development experience in energy includes projects in natural gas storage and transmission, cross border gas trading, local gas distribution planning and privatization, and gas production. These include securing long term lease of underground storage facilities in western Ukraine and securing transmission capacity through new pipeline to Romania
Darrell founded Taurus Energy International Inc. where he was a partner and president. He initiated a natural gas pipeline project to bring natural gas from Georgia to Turkey in 1993. Current projects are in the alternative fuels energy sector in Turkey, Africa, and Southeast Asia. He is also Founder and President of Quadro Technologies A.S., Ankara, Turkey engaged in international project development in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. In 1982 he founded and continues as president of Western Reserve Search Associates Inc. engaged in international executive search. From 1995 to 1999, he was the president of Howard Energy International Eurasia Ltd.
Darrell has an MBA Management from Georgia State University 1974 and BA History from University of Wyoming 1968.
